I was wondering what the lowest temperature you can paint in, or one recommends painting in?

In general, it should tell you on the can of the product your using. However, most exterior paints can continue to cure in temperatures as low as 35F. Be cautions though, the lowest temperatures of the day are normaly at sunrise in the morning. If your painting into the wee hours make sure it's not supposed to get too cold overnight!
