My wife dented our brand-new Stainless Steel Fridge Door... is there an easy way to remove the dent? Thanks.

If you have kids, they can supply you with some artwork to cover the dent. Chances are that the metal has stretched. Take a picture of it (the dent, not the artwork) and post here. We like pictures....

I'll try, with it being stainless steel, I'll probably just get a big reflection, but I'll try. I'm on a trip right now, so when I get home I'll let you know.

TH -

What does the dent look like? Is it a slight concave, or does it have a sharp edge or crease in the center of it? If it has a sharp edge or crease, I'm afraid you would be better off living with it, because in order to get that out it would probably require eventual sanding or grinding or you'll never get the crease out. This would probably look just as bad because you could never get it to match the"grain" in the rest of the stainless of the door.

However if the dent doesn't have any sharp edge or crease, then you could have success with a suction-type consumer dent puller that is made for cars. There are a couple of different brands, the Ding King and Pops-a-Dent. I have the Ding King and I've used it on our car with some success. You can get either off of Amazon for $15. It might be worth it to give it a try.

The only other alternative to the Ding King is to use the same technique, but rent a professional device from somewhere. I know Checker Auto lets you "check out" tools, and they might have something like the Ding King!

Peace Out!

Thanks for the suggestions.... the dent is pretty rounded, no real edges or creases and it's not very deep at all, it's obvious to her and me because we know where's it's at, most everybody else has to look for it in order to see it. I'll let you know if the Ding King works.
