To follow up on the previous post, here is a great ARTICLE on changing and flushing your transmission fluid on a Chrysler Town and Country.

A couple of important things to note:

1. These transmissions are infamous for problems because they're not properly serviced...make sure you use only the recommended Transmission Fluid, normal it's ATF+4
2. When you're flushing the system, make sure you take your time. Only let the transmission pump out about 1/2 a quart, shut off the car, then add half a quart. Repeat this process until the the fluid is clear, as described in the article. WARNING: If you rush this process your transmission may run out of fluid and let air into the system. There's no major problem with this if it's only for a short period, but it does mess up the transmission computer. The computer is designed to learn the drivers shifting patterns...air screws it up and will cause shifting abnormalities. If this ever happens you normal need to take your car into a service center to have the computer reset. I speak from a $50 experience.

Good Luck!
