|
|
I was wondering if any handymen out there has a standard or generic waiver form that they have signed before doing any handyman work.
I've been having a hard time finding something like this.
Anything close that I could tailor to my needs?
Many thanks,

You might want to check with your State Bar Association. They have many legal forms available for free; they may have some Generic 'Limit of Liability' forms that you could work from.
you could also check with your insurance company that provides your liability insurance. They might have something. |

I wouldn't recommend getting legal forms from any other source than a bar association, or a hired attorney. A waiver form won't necessarily indemnify you of liability, if it is written by anyone. The waiver form itself could be illegal in your state...who knows?
Well, a lawyer does!
I would strongly encourage you to seek proper counsel on said matter. Many attorneys with offer information for free over the phone. |

| For instance, in my state and i would imagine others, there are certain liabilities that you can't "limit" yourself from, as well as other consumer rights, and disclosures. We have an addendum provided by the state that must be added to such contracts informing the consumer of their rights. Without the addendum, the contract is void. |
