I constructed a new deck off my house a couple of months ago, and I butted the floor boards up tight to together for a clean look. Now there are gaps between each board, and it seems like they are getting bigger!
Anyone know why, and how I can fix it? |

The boards shrunk.
I'm assuming you installed treated lumber, and that the lumber was still wet. If this is the case, then the board will shrink about 1/8-1/4" in width in a few months.
Wait a couple more months because it might shrink more. Then, if you want to readjust your boards, do it then. |
