I've done a little research on what grit sandpapers to use for wet sanding, but does anyone know how long the paint has to dry before you can wet sand a clear coat?

You can start wet sanding it the next day. However, don't use any 'coating' products like wax on it for about 30 days. The paint is dry but it still needs to cure. During the curing process it's still releasing gases so anything that prohibits that might ruin the finish.

You can use buffing and polishing liquids and compounds though.
