Though I can't help you with colors, styles, and layout, I can help you find the tools for it...
Google's FREE SketchUp is a great tool for designing stuff. I use it all the time for designing word-working projects.

Hi..,
You may look for tile flooring. It looks great and are available in variety of designs and colors. As far as the sink and cabinets are considred you may go for a modular touch.
