|
|
I installed a new faucet and showerhead in my bathtub the other day and the flow from the hot water side is terrible! It had always been worse than the cold water, but was never this bad...it just trickles out.
I took the stem out of hot side, and turn the water on to see if the water supply is ok...and it was just fine.
Do I have a defective faucet, or is there something else I'm missing?
If it's something else, how do I fix it? |

What type of pipe is feeding your new tub faucet? (galvanized, copper, pex?)
If it's galvanized, then you probably disturbed some buildup in the pipe as you were replacing the faucet. After installing the new faucet and turning the water on any tiny pieces of contamination can plug up components in the new faucet. In particular, flow restrictors and strainers can easily get clogged. |
