Before reading or posting in any forum, please read/reread the Terms of Use. By utilizing this site you hereby agree to all of said terms, otherwise please discontinue using this site!
With that said, please abide by these general rules when posting. Please don't post the following:
1. Use a Subject/Title that is relevant. If you have a broken window that you need to know how to fix, then the title should be "How do you fix a broken window?" It shouldn't be "HELP ME!" This is a small but important thing, because it attracts people to answer your questions and it attracts people who may have a similar problem to fix. That's what this site is about, connecting one another to help one another!
2. Hateful, libelous, vulgar, defamatory, slanderous, obscene, abusive, pornographic, or threatening content, or anything that construes an invasion of privacy.
3. All chain letters.
4. Material that is illegal, or promotes or encourages illegal activity.
5. Advertisements for goods or services, free or paid. (except as provided by Part VI of the Terms of Agreement).
6. Posts or messages by a user impersonating another. (If you use a public computer, and someone hasn't signed out of HANDYMANXCHANGE.COM, please sign out for that user!)
7. Infringements on intellectual property.
8. Personal information, such as phone numbers, social security numbers, account numbers, addresses, or employer references.
9. And especially flamebait, because some don't have the patience once provoked!
Additionally, follow the Golden Rule!!! I can't stress this enough. There's nothing worse than meaningless, immature dialog. Yes, you do have First Amendment rights, but Handyman xChange has the right to alter or delete your posts because of abuse of those rights! A good rule a thumb to use before posting a message, is to ask yourself, "Would I say this to my Mother or Grandmother?" and "??Will this get me sued?"
I forgot one thing...HAVE FUN! |
