Anyone have any suggestions on how to hide the HDMI cable that is running from my AV Receiver to my HDTV?
My HDTV is mounted in the corner of the room, on an articulating mount. I was able to add an outlet easily to conceal the power cord, but I wanted some ideas on how to hide the sole HDMI cable running from my AV Receiver.
Peace!

HDMI cable (or any low voltage cable) can be run through the wall. You could literally punch a hole in the bottom and then in the top of the wall and fish the wire though, however the holes aren't very appealing. WARNING: You can't do this with power cords. Electrical resistance in wiring creates heat, and that heat needs to be disipated. If you conceal power cords you create a fire hazard. If you want to conceal the power cord a electrician needs to install an outlet behind the TV.
I would make the HDMI (or other Low Voltage Wiring) solution above more aesthetically pleasing by installing single or dual gang boxes. They make them so you can just cut a hole into the wall, and slide them in. Then by cover plates with holes in them to run the cables through, or buy blank cover plates and drill a hole in them the same size as the cable.
If you're running the cable horizontally and not vertically, then you can conceal it behind baseboard instead of running it in the wall. Running it through the wall would very time consuming because you need to go through studs, by cutting out large sections of drywall.

Here's a good solution for a wall plate from Leviton. You can get this from any Home Improvement store, such as Home Depot or Lowes. It comes in several colors and materials.

You can also use the same cable bushings that SAT TV installers use when they run the cable from outside through the wall. It looks good and leaves a small hole. This is an EXAMPLE of them.
This is what I've used with speaker wires, and other low voltage home entertainment wiring. Though it might not work with the large ends of and HDMI cable.
