If manufacturer directions are followed precisely, is it safe to Hydrogen Peroxide in your pool instead of Chlorine?

I am extremely sensitive to the smell of chlorine, it doesn't hurt me in any way but I just hate it! Evil or Very Mad

Besides, I worry about the long term effects of trans-dermal absorption of chlorine on the longterm health of my children.

Thanks!

I would stick with chlorine.

Hydrogen Peroxide based pools need more monitoring and care, and the product used for application is extremely caustic. I believe, it has a concentration of 35% unlike what you buy at the drug store, which is 3%. These concentration levels can burn skin and and cause blindness if come in contact with ones eyes.

For the above reasons, almost everyone uses chlorine to control funk in their pool. It's safer to handle and easier to manage.
